What is the easiest way to access downtown Washington by public transportation?
You can board the airport shuttle outside the airline check-in hall to the Amtrak/MARC train station. This shuttle bus operates between the terminal and the train station every 10-15 minutes (every 25 min. from 1:00 am to 5:00 am). Once at the train station, take the rail service to Union Station, in Washington DC. Tickets cost USD2.00 (one way) and the travel time is about 30 minutes.
What is the easiest way to access downtown Baltimore by public transportation?
It is best to use the MTA light rail. The station is located on the lower level of the main terminal, next to Concourse E. Purchase your ticket at one of the ticket vending machines located at the station (one-way fare: USD2.00). Board the service heading to Penn Station, in downtown Baltimore. The train departs regularly every 10-15 minutes, and the travel time is approximately 30 min.
Where is the Uber or Lyft pickup location at the airport?
Ride-sharing vehicles operating via apps pick up and drop off passengers at the terminal curbside, on the upper level (Departures), between gates 5-12. You will find walkways leading to the outside curb next to gates 5, 8 and 12.
Is there free internet access?
Yes, the airport offers free and unlimited Wi-Fi access throughout all terminal concourses.
To connect, select the "#MyBWI-Fi" network on your device, press "CONNECT" on the page that appears, and then simply accept the terms and conditions.
How do you get around the airport?
BWI Marshall offers its passengers free transportation around the facilities.
Parking lots: Buses running between the terminal and the long-term parking lots, the express lot and the daily garage operate 24 hours a day, with a frequency of 10-15 minutes.
Amtrak/MARC Station: This bus travels to the Amtrak/MARC station every 10-15 minutes (every 25 min. from 1:00 am to 5:00 am).
Car Rental: This service operates between the terminal and the car rental facility with a frequency of 8-10 minutes (every 25 min. from 1:00 am to 5:00 am).
What to do in case of a long layover?
There are many places to shop and dining options. The airport also offers a number of other amenities and services, including nursing rooms, art galleries, plugs for electronic devices, children's play areas and animal relief areas. You will also find several VIP lounges with beverages, food, workspaces, etc. There are many hotels nearby, including the Westin Baltimore Washington Airport, which, in addition to comfortable rooms, offers meeting rooms and conference facilities, a spa, fitness center and swimming pool. A courtesy shuttle bus takes passengers from the terminal to the hotel and back.
What to do in case of lost valuables or luggage?
In case of lost, forgotten or damaged luggage or items, either on the plane or in checked baggage, you should contact your airline.
For items lost in the security screening areas, contact the TSA office in front of gate 9, on the lower level, from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm (online form).

Is there a luggage storage service?
For security reasons, luggage storage at the airport has been suspended by order of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Contact your airline to inquire if they will allow early luggage check-in.
Is there any free parking area at Baltimore Airport?
Yes. In the Cell Phone Lot, drivers can wait up to an hour free of charge to pick up passengers at BWI. It is located on Scott Road, to the right of the daily parking entrance. More information about parking
Is it possible to get a SIM card?
Yes. Next to gate D5, you will find a Prepango vending machine offering a variety of SIM plans for international travelers. The InMotion stores, located between gates A4-A5 and next to gate D4, also offer such services.
